Vintage Fashion Ads And The Poodle

Today, we are taking part in two blog hops. The two hops are Barks And Bytes Blog Hop kindly hosted by 2 Brown Dawgs and Heart Like A Dog and Thoughtless Thursday by Ruckus the Eskie and Owned by a Husky.

This is a subject that I turn to very often. I think because there is so much source material. I might be wrong in this, but I think no other dog has been tagged as much as the Poodle in vintage ads.

Being French, they were thought of as being the height of chic. This is just my personal opinion. I don't have any research to back that statement up. So let get this started.

I always start out with the same image. It is just a classic.

Being a knitter, I was especially elated to find this gem.
