Tuesday Tails-Jake and The Rescue Project

Jake has found a home!

Three times this month my path has crossed with a new animal rescue organization in the Kansas City area. The third time was the charm and I think it is time I shared their vision and mission. And, of course, I have to show one of their pups that needs a forever home.

The Rescue Project works to educate  and assist families with pets. They also rescue  animals in very dire circumstances and try to find them new homes. This organization works across the state line helping those in Missouri and Kansas.

I wanted to print their own words as far as their vision and mission.

Our Vision

The Rescue Project is a non-profit organization dedicated to building trustful relationships with people and their pets and improving the lives of needy animals living in underserved Kansas City communities. We provide basic survival items such as food and dog houses and offer low cost veterinary resources emphasizing the need to spay and neuter.  We also provide community education/awareness to the public on responsible pet ownership and empower people to make a difference.

Our Mission

To help abandoned, neglected and forgotten animals in Kansas City and surrounding areas. To raise awareness through community education programs of animal overpopulation, disease control and provide resources for veterinary services.

And now to Jake. The second I saw the Jake on their flyer at the Crossroads Friday night, my heart when pitter patter. This little guy is a cutie. He's is a Poodle/Terrier mix. The Rescue Project found him living in a box.

Jake is only four years old and with a little TLC and grooming he is going to be a great looking boy. So if you know anyone or are interested in Jake yourself, please go to his Petfinder page.

That's it for this Tuesday Tail. Have a great week and here's to Jake finding the home he deserves.

And this is a blog hop so check out some of our other dogs and kitties who need homes below.
