Tuesday's Tales-Tango Of Raleigh

Hi, Everyone

For a while, I am going to feature Standard Poodles in the Southern U.S. that needs to be adopted. This was requested by a friend whose sister (in the South) had to say goodbye to an old friend and is thinking of adopting a Standard Poodle. I don't think I've every featured a Standard. I tend to concentrate on any dog around the Midwest, but here's to something new.

I am starting out with a challenge. I read about Tango and was dismayed. How not to raise a Standard Poodle! It sounds to me that the original owners just wanted something for show and didn't know or care to know about the nature of a Standard Poodle. These dogs are high energy retrievers. Only topped by Border Collies for intelligence, Standard Poodles need stick guidance, positive activities and BIG TIME exercise. They will take you over, if you don't know how to handle them.

Unfortunately, I don't think any of the above was in Tango's upbringing. He will need someone with experience, patience and love to show him that life can be good. When you read his story, you will know what I mean. A shock collar at 18 months and made to sit in an office all day? You will understand why he has some issues.

If you know anyone who wants a Standard and wants to make a big difference in a dog's life, please let them know about Tango.  They will have to travel to  Spartanburg, South Caroline. The rescue will not ship. And frankly, you would have to meet Tango and talk to his sponsor to really make a decision, I think.

Tango's PETFINDER PAGE IS HERE. All good dogs deserves multiple chances to find the right owner. Tango's first one messed him up big time and I hope he finds an angel out there to help him become the great dog he can be.

Well, that's it for today. Take care everyone-Signing off......

Terri and the Pack.

This is a adoption blog hop so please check out below for some others who need some forever homes.
